China to speed up work on unified AI law

China's State Development and Reform Commission has promised to speed up preparation of a unified law on artificial intelligence. The statement was made at a briefing in Beijing by Wang Zhuomeng, deputy director of the commission's innovation and high-tech department.
The future rules will cover the entire AI lifecycle, from creation to deployment. The announcement was made on November 3.
For someone who holds or exchanges cryptocurrency, the news matters because AI regulation in China could also affect technology projects tied to the crypto industry.
